John W. Frey, age 77, died on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his home in Beaver Dam.

The memorial gathering will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, August, 10, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 3:00 PM with Rev. Paul C. Stratman officiating. Following the service there will be a celebration held at Jumper’s Bar in Beaver Dam.

John William Frey was born on May 13, 1936 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin to Clarence and Loraine (Ganz) Frey. He was united in marriage with Janice L. Binder on May 7, 1977 in Tampa, Florida. Being an avid fisherman, John truly enjoyed his job working for Arctic Fisherman, now known as Uncle Josh’s Bait Company, for many years. He was a bit of a sports nut, supporting the Brewers and the Packers, and he also liked NASCAR. John had an outgoing personality and was always willing to help others. His big blue eyes and beautiful smile will be missed by many, especially his loving daughters.

Survivors are his four daughters, Brenda Ray of Beaver Dam, Patricia (Shane) Norman, Jean Stadler, both of Arizona, and Shelly; two sons,  John Jr., and Greg; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; his fiancée, Wendy Giese of Beaver Dam; brothers, LaVerne, Clarence (Mary), Walter (Linda), and William; sisters, June (Clarence) Pagenkopf, Delores Albrecht, Gloria (Walter) Laurersdorf, Viola (Harlan) Henken; a special nephew, Steve Peters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rodney Binder, Bettie Mallon, Donna (Ronnie) Nehmer, and Lester (Judy Jansen) Binder; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice in 2008; brothers, Elmer and Ervin; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
