Obituary – Kleindl, Ruby

Ruby I. Kleindl, age 94, of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Sylvan Crossings  in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Ruby will be at Murray Funeral Home, 131 East Maple Avenue in Beaver Dam, on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 4:30 PM until 5:30 PM.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 5:30 PM with Rev. Terry G. Larson officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM.

The former Ruby Irma Neuman was born on June 22, 1919 to the late Otto and Minnie (Lindert) Neuman in Columbus, Wisconsin.  The happiest day of her life was on May 30, 1940, when she was united in marriage with Lawrence Kleindl in the St. Peter’s Rectory.  Ruby was the manager of Pries Apparel, working there for 28 years, and retiring in 1981. Ruby loved her dogs, Mitzi, Max and Tina, and treated them as though they were her kids.  She was active in Meals-on-Wheels and was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Ruby was also a member of the Beaver Dam American Legion Auxiliary. Her unique personality will be missed.

Survivors include her niece and nephews, Jean Kennedy, David (Rita) Kleindl, and Randy (Mary) Rautenberg, all of Beaver Dam; great nieces and great nephews; helpful friend, Joanne Bohl of Beaver Dam; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1990, and her sister, Viola Klug.
