Pauline E. “Polly” Paulsen, 71, of Randolph passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital surrounded by her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Annunciation Catholic Parish in Fox Lake with the Rev. Michael L. Wild officiating. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Cremation is to follow the service.
Pauline was born the daughter of Leonard “Shorty” and Orlene (Beichel) Voight on December 4, 1942 in Beaver Dam. She was a 1960 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Polly was married to Norbert “Norby” Paulsen on November 10, 1962 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fox Lake. Polly along with her husband owned and operated Paulsen’s Resort in Fox Lake for 28 years.
Polly was a member of Annunciation Catholic Parish in Fox Lake. She will be remembered as having a wonderful sense of humor. Polly’s life was centered on her family and especially enjoyed being around her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Polly is survived by her husband, Norbert “Norby” of Randolph; her children: Christine (Michael) Fiene of Masa, AZ, Carl (Karen) Paulsen of Fox Lake, Michelle “Shelly” (Eddie) Eagle-Spirit of Orlando, FL, Heidi (Paul) Paitrick of Fox Lake, and Amy (significant other, Tony Kienast) Dolgner of Randolph; her sister, Ann (Fred) Albrecht of Elm Grove, WI; seven grandchildren: Colette, Tyler, Cody, Nicole, Emily, Hunter, and Kendra; her sister-in-law, Carol (James “Doc”) Scheder of Beaver Dam; her brother-in-law, James (Diane) Paulsen of San Antonio, TX; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Eric in 1965.
