Obituary: Patricia Kay Swan

Patricia Kay Swan, 67, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Terry Larson and Rev. Mark Jensen officiating.  A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam, and also on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Patricia was born the daughter of Arnold and Maxine Moritz on March 12, 1947 in Beaver Dam. After graduating from high school, she worked in Madison as a secretary. Soon after, Pat was united in marriage to Eugene Wren Swan on April 24, 1968 at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Following their marriage they resided in the township of Calamus on their family dairy farm. On February 12, 1970 their son Craig Eugene Swan was born. 

Patricia was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She took great pride in and loved taking care of the calves and doing the book work for the family farm. Pat especially loved her son Craig, her two granddaughters Emily Marie and Heidi Renee Swan, her pet dogs, her family, friends and neighbors.

Pat is survived by: her husband Eugene of Calamus; her son Craig (Joe Ann nee Mason) Swan of Calamus, her two granddaughters Emily Swan and Heidi Swan, her brother Ken (Susan) Moritz of Madison, her sister-in-law Wendy Moritz of Oshkosh, her sister-in-law Carrie Moritz of Burnett, her brother-in-law Bill (Francis) Swan; and further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and very close neighbors and friends.  

Pat was preceded in death by: her parents Arnold & Maxine Moritz, her brothers: Dick Moritz and Donnie Moritz, her brother-in-law Dick Owens, her sister-in-law Shirley Owens, and her nephew Rick Moritz.
