Jeanette C. Diels, 70, of Fox Lake passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd., Beaver Dam.  A visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Jeanette Carolyn was born the daughter of Stanley J. and Arline B. (Schulteis) Soboleski on March 20, 1944 in Beaver Dam.  She was married to Gary R. Diels on June 5, 1965 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.  Jeanette was a 1962 graduate of Beaver Dam High School.  She completed her training as a LPN and was employed with the VA in Madison and retired in Beaver Dam after 25 years.

Jeanette’s greatest attribute was her ability to give selflessly, never asking for anything in return. She gave through her delicious baking and cooking, especially her famous chicken noodle casserole. She gave through her humor as well. The best seat in the house was always next to her. Most importantly she gave love, support and life to every one of our dreams; encouraging us to be who we are and do what makes us truly happy in life. She gave all of this and so much more, but never asked for anything more than our smiling faces in return. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend that anyone could have ever asked for. We will love her and miss her forever.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Gary of Fox Lake; her children: Diane Diels of Madison and Brian (special friend Karen Buros) Diels of Sun Prairie; her mother, Arline (Bud) Immerfall of Beaver Dam; her sisters: Nancy (Jerry) Rosche of Cascade, Sandra Grueneberg of Reeseville, Merry (Jerry) Ewert of Waupun, Virginia (Thomas) Kierzek of West Bend; five grandchildren: Wynn, Jacob, Paige, Joshua and Aidan Diels; and further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley, her son Joseph, and her daughter Rebecca.
