The first Sunday of July is National Build A Scarecrow Day.  Scarecrows have been around for thousands of years.  In fact, the Egyptians used them to scare quails from wheat fields along the Nile.  They probably should be called Scarequails, but it's a bit of a tongue-twister.

Phobias:  If you have a fear of scarecrows, then you are suffering from Formidophobia.

Allergies:  If you are allergic to scarecrows, then you should stop eating them.

Disney used a scarecrow to make a miniseries starring Patrick McGoohan, who was also a Secret Agent Man and The Prisoner.  Attached below is a clip from Scarecrow and if you remember this, then you and I are probably going to be sharing a room in a nursing home, sometime pretty soon . . .
