Obituary: Jerold “Jerry” A. Laue

Jerold “Jerry” A. Laue, age 57 of rural Juneau, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at home.

Jerry was born on March 10, 1957 in Beaver Dam, the son of Mervin and Minnie (Beske) Laue. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy before beginning a career as a prison guard at the Waupun Correctional Institute. He also worked at MEC and most recently enjoyed delivering newspapers for the Watertown Daily Times. On September 10, 1994, he was united in marriage to Nancy Schultz at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, woodworking and going on guided fishing trips. He was also a Packers, Brewers and Badger football fan.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Nancy of Juneau; his sisters, Barbara (Richard) Schmidt, Beverly Laue and Jeanette (Brian) Gorr; his mother, Minnie of Beaver Dam; his in-laws, Robert (Marilyn) Schultz; his sisters-in-law, Christine (Mike) Krueger and Arlene (Steve) Carolla; his brothers-in-law, Jeff Schultz and Kevin (Sandy) Schultz; and further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and other relatives.

A Memorial Service for Jerry will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. A Memorial Gathering will take place prior to the service at Cornerstone, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
