Obituary: Gladys L. Firari

Gladys L. Firari, age 85, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Charleston House in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd. in Beaver Dam on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Sunday at 11:00 am with Brother Lynn Branchini officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Garden’s in the Town of Trenton on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 am.

The former Gladys Louise Hecht was born on August 25, 1929 to Daniel and Leona (Zuelke) Hecht in Beaver Dam. She was united in marriage to Robert Firari on June 30, 1972 in Juneau. Gladys worked for many years at Koplin Manufacturing in Fox Lake and was a part of the original staff at Tower Lanes until her retirement in 1991. Gladys enjoyed reading and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She also liked gardening and working around the house. Gladys was a long-time member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors are her husband Bob of Beaver Dam; children, David (Barbara) Jahns of Fox Lake, Bernie (Carol) Jahns of Fox Lake, Linda (Gary) Griepentrog of Beaver Dam, and Tim Jahns of Beaver Dam; step-son, John Jahns of Michigan; 24 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; sister, Kathy Franke of Burnett; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Andy Jahns; and brothers, Harvey Hecht and Donald Hecht.
