Obituary: Lorraine Pederson

Lorraine Pederson, age 93, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. 

Visitation for Lorraine will be at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 9:30 am to 10:20 AM.  Funeral services will follow at the church on Saturday at 10:30 am.  Rev. Philip Heyer will officiate.  Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Lorraine was born September 16, 1921 and baptized on October 2, 1921 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to the late Milton and Ella (Tesch) Abraham.  She moved to Beaver Dam in 1923 and was confirmed at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in 1935.  After graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 1939, Lorraine was united in marriage with Einar Pederson on October 4, 1939.  She worked in the packing room at Weyenberg Shoe Factory in Beaver Dam for 34 years.  Lorraine was a devout Christian throughout her life and was an active member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church and their Ladies Aid.

Survivors include her three children, James (Jeanne) Pederson of Brookfield/Rhinelander, Fran Carlson of Greenfield, and Gerald (Carola) Pederson of Stillwater, OK; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa) Carlson of Waukesha, Eric (Kristin) Carlson of Mequon, James (Sara) Pederson, Jr. of Hugo, MN, Christopher (Rachelle) Pederson of Waianae, HI, Stephanie Pederson of Brookfield, Grant (Stephanie) Pederson of Dallas, TX, and Tara (Chad) Bullard of Spring, TX; 12 great grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews, wonderful neighbors, other relatives and friends.  Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Harold Jahn; her husband, Einar Pederson; two sisters, Mildred Lueptow and Elaine Shine; one brother, Milton Abraham, Jr., and her son-in-law, Ralph Carlson.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
