Obituary: Michael K. Sievert

Michael K. Sievert, age 63 of rural Markesan, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 29, 2014.

Michael was born on January 18, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI to Arthur and Anne (Polgar) Sievert. He was united in marriage to Vicky Buck on October 28, 1978 in Independence, MO. He worked as a mechanical engineer developing medical equipment. In his free time, Michael enjoyed woodworking and being on the farm. He was also a member of the Kingston Lion’s Club and the Grand River Marsh Turkey Club, an avid turkey and deer hunter, and an avid supporter of the Kingston Mill Pond Library.

Michael is survived by his wife, Vicky Sievert of rural Markesan, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

No formal funeral service for Michael will be held.  Please join us for a celebration of Mike’s life on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Kingston American Legion Hall, 1 to 4 PM.  Please bring your photos and silly stories.

Memorials in Michael’s name may be directed to the Kingston Mill Pond Library, 140 N. South St., Kingston.
