Obituary: Mary A. Hollihan

Mary A. Hollihan, age 82, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Heritage Homes in Watertown.

Visitation for Mary will be at Koepsell Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam, on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 pm.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in The Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Mary Ann Voegeli was born on December 12, 1932 in the Town of Lebanon, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Emil and Anna (Lohrberg) Voegeli.  She graduated from Watertown High School in 1950.  On July 14, 1952, she was united in marriage with William J. Hollihan in Dubuque, Iowa.  Mary worked at Menomonee Falls Hospital and in home health care; she also worked at Masterprint in Beaver Dam.  Mary had a spirit about her and a sense of independence and a sense of humor that she would readily share with others.  She enjoyed gardening, she loved animals and had cats and dogs as pets throughout her life.  Earlier in her life, Mary was active in the Beaver Dam PAL Program and served as a volunteer at the Beaver Dam Senior Center. 

Survivors include her brothers and sister, Paul (Jeanne) Voegeli of Milford, Walter (Shirley) Voegeli of Watertown, and Betty “Lou” Blank of Johnson Creek; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; her brothers, Raymond Voegeli and Elmer Voegeli; her sisters, Alice Larson, Rose Kottwitz, Lydia Flemming, Doretta Voegeli, Hilde Will, and Erika Schmidt.
