Obituary: Bernadette C. Noll

Bernadette C. Noll, age 91, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital. 

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam, on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 12:00 noon until the time of service.  The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 PM with Fr. Michael Erwin officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.  A luncheon will be held back at the funeral home following the burial.

Bernadette Noll was born on December 24, 1923 in Lost Lake, Wisconsin to Eugene and Marie (Oreiller) Nico. On April 25, 1942, she was united in marriage with Henry M. Noll at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lost Lake, Wisconsin.

Survivors are her children, Bonita (Dr. Daniel) Feuling of Beaver Dam, Marlene (James) Andrews of Sun City West AZ, and Roger Noll of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Teresa (Jon) Turck of Beaver Dam, Stephanie (Mike) Woods of Qakland, Oregon, Travis (Laura) Feuling of Broomfield, Colorado, Jamey Andrews of Sun City West, Arizona and Jennifer Zazueta of Phoenix, Arizona; five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Henry Noll; an infant daughter, Bernadette; her parents; sister Florence (Nico) Hess and brothers Henry Nico and Damien Nico.

She was a devout member of St. Patrick’s Church now known as St. Katharine Drexel dedicating countless hours to such Christian organizations as The Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers. 

During World War II, Bernadette drove forklift at the Navy Depot Defense Plant while living in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.  Later, she would return to Beaver Dam to work at the Badger Ordinance Defense Plant in Baraboo, WI.  She was a real life Rosie the Riveter.

In later years in Beaver Dam, she was employed by Newton-Wenz, Sentry Food Stores and Green Giant where she never failed to make life long friends.

Bernadette was a petite bundle of energy and joy who dearly treasured her time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and friends.  She will be forever fondly remembered by all who had the good fortune to share her company.
