Obituary: Bernice (Salzwedel) Lange

Bernice (Salzwedel) Lange, 90, of Beaver Dam passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Eagles Wings in Beaver Dam.

Bernice was born on May 24, 1924 in Green Lake County, Wisconsin to Adolph and Pauline (Giese) Salzwedel.  She attended St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran School in Beaver Dam.  She was confirmed and a member to date of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church.  She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1942.  She was joined in marriage to Earl M. Lange at St. Stephen’s parsonage on February 9, 1946 by Reverend L.C. Kirst.  She was the secretary of Masterprint, Inc. until the business was sold.  Since 1983, she was involved in volunteer work at the former Lakeside Unit and Hillside Manor.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl in February 2008, parents, sisters Lucille and Frances, brothers Ben and Thomas, brother-in-law James Faytis, and sisters-in-law Dorothy Salzwedel and Lila Salzwedel

Bernice is survived by her daughter Sandra, son Jeffrey (Brenda) Lange, grandson Nathan, granddaughter Danielle, and numerous nieces and nephews.

As Bernice wished no funeral services will be held.  Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton.
