Debra J. McGovern, 60, of Beaver Dam passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services for Debra will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam with the Rev. Mark Jensen officiating. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, April 7th from 11:00a.m. until 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton, Wisconsin.
Debra Jean was born the daughter of Kenneth and Delores (Soravia) Ebert on August 21, 1954 in Beaver Dam. She was a 1972 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. She had been employed as a corrections officer at Fox Lake Correctional Institute, retiring in 2013. She was married to Richard McGovern who preceded her in death in 2007.
Debra was an active member of the Beaver Dam Senior Center, enjoying many of the activities especially Bingo. She loved going to the casinos. Debra also enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
Debra is survived by her three children: Jackie Brazee (John) Illyes of Schaumburg, IL, Nicholas (Abigail) Hartman of Beaver Dam and Michelle Krueger of Madison; grandsons: Tyler Brazee and Mason Illyes and step grandchildren Zachary and Samuel Illyes; also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard.
