Obituary: Bryan “Casey” Stengel

Bryan “Casey” Stengel, 68, of Randolph passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Golden Living Center – Continental Manor in Randolph.

Bryan was born the son of Donald and Audrey (Lueneburg) Stengel on January 31, 1947 in Milwaukee.  Donald preceded him in death.  Bryan was raised by his mother, Audrey and step-father, Alex Regazzi.  He was married to his first wife, Tula in Greece and together had three children.  Later, he was married to his second wife, Susanne and together had a son.  Afterwards, Casey found his life partner, Doris A. Frey and have enjoyed over 20 years together.  He was employed as a mechanic for many years in the Milwaukee area, and will be remembered as a jack of all trades, handyman.

Casey served his country as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force for 12 years and was able to see much of Europe.  He was an active member of the DAV in Beaver Dam, and also an active member of the Columbus VFW for 10 years.  Casey enjoyed shooting pool and playing chess.  He enjoyed electrical repair and was able to build both his and his son, Michael’s computers. Casey especially loved to fish.

Casey is survived by his life partner, Doris A. Frey of Randolph; his four children: Alex, Angel, Pamela, and Michael Stengel; his mother, Audrey Regazzi of Waupun; nine siblings: Donna Tollkuehn, Joseph Regazzi, Patti Searles, Rick Regazzi, Perry Regazzi, Cindy Cuker, Suzy Wachowiak, Dean Regazzi, and Roxanne Scheel; and further survived by grandchildren; a great-grandchild; as well as nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and his favorite dog, Shotsy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald, his step-father, Alex, a son in infancy, David, and his brother, Mel Regazzi.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Waupun Masonic Lodge, 16 S. Madison St. in Waupun.  Friends and family will be arriving around 12 p.m. noon at the Lodge.  Cremation is to occur prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Dodge County Humane Society.
