Obituary: Penny L. Chroninger

Penny L. Chroninger, age 56, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at her home in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Penny will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam, on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 12:00 noon with John R. Leiting officiating.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Penny was born on March 29, 1959 in Tacoma, Washington.  After moving to the Midwest and graduating from South Beloit High School, she became a licensed realtor.  Penny worked at Century 21 in Beaver Dam for many years and was a member of the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce Women’s Affiliate. She was married to Arlen A. Chroninger on May 19, 1978 in Rockford, IL.  Family was important to Penny and she adored her grandchildren.  She loved the peacefulness of being near the water and Beaver Dam Lake and she enjoyed cooking and baking, and bird watching. 

Survivors include her husband, Arlen of Beaver Dam; three children, Shannon (fiancé Tyrone) Carlyle of Janesville, Corey Chroninger of Fox Lake, and Nik (special friend Kim) Chroninger of Green Bay; her mother, Donna Stoner of Beaver Dam; three sisters, Sandy (Greg) Burkheimer of Orfordville, Lisa Young of Monroe, MI, and Teri (Tim) Wilson of Lincoln, NE; a brother, David (Joyce) Smith of Friendship; two grandchildren, Dylan Carlyle and Marshall Johnson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Penny was preceded in death by her step father, Ken Stoner.
