Obituary: Roger R. Haase

Roger R. Haase, 73, of Beaver Dam passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his home.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Roger’s life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam. A luncheon will follow at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 320 E. Burnett Street, Beaver Dam.

Roger Ray was born on August 3, 1942 the son of Harley R. and Bessie (Davis) Haase in Beaver Dam.  On February 11, 2006, he was united in marriage to Carol Nelson.

Roger served his country in the United States Army.  He was a proud supporter of the Lakota St. Joseph’s Indian School.  He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Beaver Dam.  Roger had a great sense of humor; he loved listening to the Oldies, Gospel music and watching old-time movies.  He enjoyed working with his hands, fixing and repairing things.  Roger treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Roger is survived by his former wife Carol; his children: Anita Haase of Beaver Dam, Tammy (Kenneth) Temen of Fox Lake, Matthew Haase and Jonathan (Felicia) Haase both of Beaver Dam; his seven grandchildren: Sasha, Scott Jr., William, Willow, Anna Marie, PrinceAries and Kronos.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard and his cousin Harold “Jim” Davis.
