Riding Through Downtown Beaver Dam – 5 September 2015

5 September:  The 2015 Patriot Tour is now complete – 48 States – 100 Days

Hundreds of Patriots joined a ride from Madison, WI to Beaver Dam, WI on the final leg of the 2015 Patriot Tour.  We counted 304 bikes!  It took a full 8 minutes for the group to parade through downtown Beaver Dam as local Patriots lined the route cheering and waving their support.  The participants gathered at Hogz & Honeez in Beaver Dam for closing ceremonies with presentations by local officials and Patriot guests from around the US.  Local host Brad Weber set the tone for the homecoming as he addressed the crowd with – “What A Ride!” …

Beaver Dam Mayor Tom Kennedy presented Tour founder Bill Sherer with an official proclamation designating September 5 2015 as “Nations of Patriots Day in Beaver Dam” – Bill reciprocated with an official proclamation to the City of Beaver Dam acknowledging and thanking the city for all of its support for the Nation of Patriots and the Patriot Tour.

Tour Founder Bill Sherer addressed those in attendance beginning with a number: 307,000 which he explained was the “recorded number of American Veterans that passed away while waiting for services from the VA Hospital.”  Bill was clear in saying that this is “not a government problem, this is an American problem, we need to stand up and fix that problem as United States of America.”

A number of local guests addressed the gathering honoring those who have given so much.

The Homecoming ceremonies concluded with the raising of the Flag.  Honor Guard members from several Wisconsin cities conducted the ceremony as all active military and veterans in attendance were invited to assemble at the stage area.  Local dignitary Ted Meekma sang our Nation Anthem.
