Obituary: Shirley I. Bohn

Shirley I. Bohn, 94, of Fox Lake and formerly of Milwaukee passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at her home.

Shirley was born the daughter of William and Beatrice (Hoyne) Carmody on July 1, 1921 in Milwaukee.  She was married to Fred H. Bohn on April 19, 1941 in Milwaukee.  Shirley enjoyed thrift shopping, and especially loved spending time with her family. 

Shirley is survived by her son, Fred A. (Karen Belcastro) Bohn of Fox Lake; her daughters: Susan E. Radtke of Fox Lake and Barbara J. (Barry) Wallace of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred, her special companion, Ed Weber, her brother, William “Bud” Carmody, and her sister, Geraldine Schneiter.

It was Shirley’s wish that cremation take place and a private memorial service be held at Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee at a later date.

Shirley’s family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Hillside Hospice and Homecare for all their care and support.
