Obituary: Dorothy “Dodo” Kutcher

On Thursday, October 8, 2015, the Kutcher family and friends lost Dodo, a welcoming soul who possessed a contagious smile and a wonderful, embracing outlook.

A life celebration will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 pm on Friday, October 16, 2015, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Family will say a few words to honor her life. Private inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.

Dodo entered this world on February 23, 1933, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Hugo and Hilda Weber. She was married to Jack Kutcher on July 31, 1954, in Beaver Dam. Dodo was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School’s class of 1951, and a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. Along with working as a receptionist and in retail, Dodo loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Dodo took great pride in creating her sewn crafts, which were sold at art fairs and shared with family and friends. Bowling was an activity joyfully spent with Jack and friends. Other hobbies included gardening, especially watching her favorite flower, the hibiscus, as it bloomed. Time spent in the kitchen resulted in delicious foods, notably her tomato soup and pickles. Those preceding her in death include her parents; Hugo and Hilda, along with her husband, Jack.

Survivors include three children, Russell (Cheryl) Kutcher, Oakfield, Justine (Harley) Walker and Kurt Kutcher, both of Beaver Dam; three siblings, Marge (Miles) Gibbons, Appleton, Shirley (Lee) Lambrecht, Tucson AZ, Dick Weber, Beaver Dam. Dodo is also survived by six grandchildren, Amber (Todd) Wolfe, Auburn (Chris Breuer) Walker, Kendall and Bryce Kutcher, all of Beaver Dam, Kyle (Amanda) Kutcher of Pine River, WI, Drew (Jenna) Kutcher of Johnson Creek; three great-grandkids, Austin Walker and Audika Wolfe of Beaver Dam and Cameron Kutcher of Pine River, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Dodo’s children would like to thank the caretakers at Hillside Manor and Beaver Dam Community Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. Memorials may be directed to the family.
