Marsh Haven Nature Center has events planned to celebrate the fun, fall season. First up is the annual Monsters on the Marsh, a family-friendly event for all ages on Sunday, October 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come in costume for trick-or-treating, make and take Halloween crafts and cupcakes, visit with the creepy and not so creepy critters, collect prizes from the Marsh Haven Scavenger Hunt, and walk through the Haunted Woods, if you dare! The cost for admission to this special Monsters on the Marsh event at Marsh Haven Nature Center is $3 for adults and $2 for children.

Spend an overnight in the museum on Friday, November 6 through Saturday, November 7. During this sleepover, discover the displays in darkness, learn by lamplight, and campout by the critters. Marsh Haven welcomes families and scouting or youth groups to this unique overnight opportunity. Visit www.marshhaven.com for a registration form and more information on this “Night in the Museum.”

On Sunday, November 15 from noon to 4 p.m. join Ecopsychologist Renee Wahlen for a Day of Nature Art for Adults. Why should kids have all the fun with art projects? Spend an afternoon at Marsh Haven creating works of art from natural materials. Draw inspiration from nature and write, paint, glue, bead, color, rhyme, create and explore eco-art. $15 for the day, pre-registration required. Call (920) 318-9518 or email director@marshhaven.com to register.

Marsh Haven Nature Center is located right on the famous Horicon Marsh. They have recently built a new pier that reaches out into the marsh for viewing wildlife up close. It is a great place to visit with several activities available including hiking, photography, site seeing, going through their museum, and participating in their planned events.

A Marsh Haven family membership is $20 and includes free admission for the rest of 2015 and all of the 2016 season. Marsh Haven nature center is located three miles east of Waupun at W10145 Highway 49.
