Obituary: Wilbert E. “Bill” Schneiter

Wilbert E. “Bill” Schneiter, 57, of Fremont, WI and formerly of Horicon passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd., Beaver Dam.  A visitation will also be held on Monday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bill was born the son of James and Marjorie (Pederson) Schneiter on January 20, 1958 in Beaver Dam.  He was married to Jill Schultz on July 22, 2000 in Fremont, WI.  Bill was employed with John Deere of Horicon for 25 years.  He later owned and operated the Gala Resort in Fremont.  Bill loved the water and outdoors, especially boating, fishing and hunting. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Jill of Fremont; his children: Melissa (fiance Brian Reynolds) Schneiter of Portage and Jesse (Calli) Schneiter of New Glarus; his step-children: R.C. (Julie) Schroeder of Oshkosh, Brett (fiancée Kim Kline) Schroeder of Colgate, and Schelagh Dehler of Fremont; 11 grandchildren; his father, James Schneiter of Horicon; his siblings: Karen Vorlob of Mayville, Bev (Jeff) Kahlhamer of Horicon, and Bob (Carey) Schneiter of Mayville; his mother-in-law, Juanita Schultz of Mayville; and further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, James “J.B.” in 2015, his mother, Marjorie, his grandparents, his father-in-law, Dave Schultz, and his brother-in-law, Jerome Vorlob.
