Obituary: James Albert Lowell

James Albert Lowell, age 92 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Sylvan Crossing in Beaver Dam.

James was born on Friday, April 13, 1923 on the home farm in Mt. Hope, WI, the son of Henry and Ruby (Hatch) Lowell. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in India. He was united in marriage to Janice McCluskey in June 1946 and divorced in 1952. James worked at the Savanna Army Depot for 33 years, retiring in 1985. He spent his retirement visiting family, traveling, fishing and hiking the outdoors.

James is survived by his children, Steven Fabini of North Aurora, IL and Diane (Wayne Schmitz) Fabini of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Kenneth (Renee) Fabini, Scott (Jennifer) Proto, Karen Haas and Daniel (Tina) Fabini; seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Gertrude Fischer, daughter-in-law, Barbara Fabini and granddaughter, Linda Fabini.

Visitation for James will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation  Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with a Funeral Service to take place at 4:00 p.m. at Cornerstone. Graveside Military Honors along with burial will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at NOON at Hermitage Cemetery in Mt. Hope, WI

Memorials in James’ name may be directed to the Beaver Dam Senior Center, 114 E. Third St., Beaver Dam.
