Obituary: Justin W. Wood

Justin W. Wood, 28, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at UW Hospital in Madison.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mark Jensen officiating.  A visitation will also be held on Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.  Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton at a later date.

Justin William was born the son of Douglas and Terri (Schoepke) Wood on April 21, 1987 in Beaver Dam.  He was a 2005 graduate of Beaver Dam High School.  Justin was a hard worker and enjoyed working outside.  He was employed in construction, especially with concrete and masonry with local area contractors; Matt Herbst and recently with Chris Westphal.

Justin enjoyed deer hunting and the Green Bay Packers.  He was kind and helpful to his family and friends in many ways.  He cared deeply for so many people.  You might say that Justin’s hobbies were helping others.  Justin was especially proud to be a father to his son, Brody.

Justin is survived by his parents: Terri and Douglas Wood of Beaver Dam; his sister, Sarah (JudeGoergen) Wood of Chicago; his brother, Jason (Bre Stange) Wood of Beaver Dam; nieces and nephews: Kyle, Wyatt, and Stella; his companion, Candice Hiley and their son, Brody of Beaver Dam; his grandmother, Mary Wood of Gold Canyon, AZ; and further survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Jerry and Dorothy Schoepke and his paternal grandfather, James Wood.
