Donna Sue Genereaux
Donna Sue Genereaux passed away peacefully in her home Sunday evening, February 7, 2016 surrounded by her husband and dear friends in their one last great act of love and loyalty.
Donna was born on a farm in Roanoke, Indiana to George and Mabel Gundy. She was united in marriage to David Genereaux and together they resided in many venues while raising their daughter, Heather Kuenzi (Steven). Donna was an excellent cook, enjoyed tennis, boating on the lake, entertaining family, neighbors, friends and visitors from many countries around the world. She dearly loved Shammie, very special cocker spaniel, who loved to go sailing, and a succession of cats through the years.
Donna retired from International Harvester, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a proud member-then President of the Beaver Dam Community Hospitals Partners (Auxiliary). She devotedly served for over 20 years as Executive Director of the Dodge County United Way, always appreciative of her hard working Boards and the generosity of individual and corporate donors. She especially enjoyed watching her grandson, Anthony grow through the years.
Survivors include her devoted and caring husband David, daughter Heather Kuenzi (Steven), grandson Anthony Kuenzi whom she loved dearly, brother Roger Gundy, niece Anne Crist, sister-in-law Lorna Genereaux, other relatives, Heidi Zollinger and many close friends.
Her parents, her brother Jerry Gundy and her sister Shirley Clements, preceded her in death.
In honoring Donna's wishes, private services will be held.
The family wishes to thank Hillside Hospice for providing wonderfully palliative comforting care to Donna in her time of need.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the United Way of Dodge County, P.O. Box 153, Beaver Dam, WI 53916 would be appreciated.
Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family. You may send private online condolences or sign the family’s guest book at www.cstonefs.com
