Obituary: Jim Hook

Jim Hook, age 62, formerly of Beaver Dam, died at his home in Reeseville on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.

The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. 

James Llewellyn Hook was born on March 13, 1953 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to George L. and Dorothy (Kline) Hook. He grew up in Lodi, graduating high school in 1971. Jim was united in marriage with Rebecca Clark. Jim worked for the city of Land O’Lakes, doing snow removal and other tasks for a number of years. He owned and operated J & D Auto in Beaver Dam and was currently working at Habitat for Humanity Restore in Beaver Dam. Jim was an all-around outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing and hunting. He also liked racing, whether it be NASCAR, snowmobiles, or motocross. Anything with wheels was worth watching for Jim.

Survivors include Jim’s parents, George and Dorothy Hook of Beaver Dam; children, James (Chris) Hook and Shannon Hook, of Land O’Lakes; grandchildren, Walker, Benjamin, Sarah, Zachery, and Nathaniel; sister, George Ann (Steve) Jones of Reedsburg; friend, Donna Przybylski and her family; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca.
