Carol F. Linke, age 88, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Hillside Manor.
The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Nicholas officiating. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Carol Fae was born on August 13, 1927 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Elmore and Dorothy (Pettack) Drown. She attended Beaver Dam school district and was a 1944 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Carol was united in marriage with Melvin Linke on October 7, 1945. In her younger years she was a beautician but she mostly worked in retail. Carol worked at Kmart and Shopko, retiring at age 62. She was a long-time member of Trinity Church United Methodist and her spare time, she enjoyed reading.
Survivors are her children, Steven (Yoshie) Linke of Salem, OR, Chuck (Doris) Linke of Portland, OR, and Kevin Linke of Beaver Dam; sister, Myram Hein; grandson, Ian; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1995; son, Van; and sisters, Nathalie Shute and Audrey Hechimovich.
