Obituary: Judith “Judy” Coda

Judith “Judy” Coda, age 67 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Judy was born on March 3, 1949 in Ripon, the daughter of John and Leona (Buchholz) Polcyn and graduated from Princeton High School. On May 17, 1969, she was united in marriage to Robert Coda at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Judy worked at Nancy Notions in Beaver Dam for 22 years and was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.

Judy was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and NASCAR, especially Matt Kenseth. She also loved supporting her grandchildren during their activities and sporting events. Her free time was spent bowling in her earlier years, reading, going to rummage sales and flea markets, gardening and driving her 1967 Mustang convertible.

Judy is survived by her husband, Robert of Beaver Dam; her children, Jodi (Brian) Goodman of Horicon, Steve (Brenda Eckmayer) Coda of Beaver Dam and Brian (Jessica) Coda of Madison; her grandchildren, Nathan Coda, Arik Koch, Hannah Coda and Celia Coda; her brother, John Polcyn of Arizona; sister-in-law, Anne (Chuck) Zamzow of Oshkosh; brother-in-law, John Coda of Princeton; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.

Visitation for Judy will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with Father Mike Erwin officiating.

Memorials in Judy’s name may be directed to Hillside Hospice, 705 S. University Ave., Beaver Dam.
