Joyce K. Crinion, age 86 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Joyce was born on December 3, 1929, the daughter of Elmer and Florence (Gilmore) Grace and attended Beaver Dam Schools. She was united in marriage to Lester Skalitzky. After Lester’s passing in 1951, she was united in marriage to Jack Crinion until his passing in 1996. Joyce enjoyed working as a CNA at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Beaver Dam and as a personal caregiver. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaver Dam and Beaver Dam Legion Auxiliary.

Joyce lived life fully, never without a smile on her face. She was very witty, had a great sense of humor and loved jokes, even those thought to be a little inappropriate. She enjoyed being around other people and looked forward to hosting Christmas Eve gatherings annually. She enjoyed a good Southern Comfort Old Fashioned and had many fond memories from bowling for many years. She was passionate about music, being one of the first residents at Hillside Manor involved in the Music & Memory program. In honor of Joyce’s life, celebrate life daily and enjoy every minute of it.

Joyce is survived by her children, Janet (Bob) Hollander and Michelle Crinion, both of Portage, Lisa Gassner of Fond du Lac, Terri (Brett) Sutton of Princeton and Tracey (Joe) Ferron of Beaver Dam; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands; son Ron Skalitzky; sisters Margaret and Marion; grandsons, Cody Skalitzky and Jonathon Krause; great-grandsons, Dominic Frank and Hunter Koltz and other relatives.

Visitation for Joyce will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam with a luncheon to follow back at Cornerstone.
