Bonnie J. Schwandt, 89, of Beaver Dam passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Koepsell Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton, WI the following morning.
Bonnie was born the daughter of Herbert F. and Florence (Carter) Avery on May 3, 1927 in Three Rivers, MI. She was married to Lyle L. Schwandt on August 14, 1948 in Waterloo, WI. In addition to being a faithful homemaker, she was employed as a telephone operator as well as other odd jobs. Bonnie was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam where she served as a member of the Ladies Aid.
Bonnie is survived by her children: Leslie (Genevieve) Schwandt of San Manuel, AZ, George (Diane) Schwandt of Albuquerque, NM, and Trudy (James) Borck of Beaver Dam; her four grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren; step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle in 2006, six sisters: Bessie Avery, Leola Avery, Doris Freeze, Vera Blanchard, Elsie Wilke and Marjorie Schultz and her brother, Everett Avery.
Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church or to Hillside Hospice both of Beaver Dam.
