Carl W. Clifton, age 51, of Beaver Dam, passed away at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Scott Roen officiating.
Carl was born on January 13, 1965 in Riverside California to the late Ray Clifton and Ruth (nee: Hadley) Bruch. He was raised in Bellevue, Nebraska with his three older siblings with whom he shared many memories. Carl moved to Beaver Dam in 1998. He was a Certified Outboard Mechanic and had been awarded Master Technician many times. He worked at Mercury Marine for several years and was also self-employed for some time; he was known to many as The Boat Guy.
Survivors include his three children, Brittany (Branden) Falk of Poynette, Jessica (Christopher) Arndt of North Dakota, and Logan Clifton of Beaver Dam; four grandchildren, Carter, McKenzie, Jace, and Evan; three siblings, Laura (Russ) Janssen, Scott Clifton, and Whitney Giles-Stevens, all of Nebraska; other relatives and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents.
