Obituary: Nancy M. Worden

Nancy M. Worden, 68, of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, June 04, 2016 at her home under the care of her family.

Nancy was born the daughter of Ralph A. and Eleanor M. (Bleuer) Wright on February 25, 1948 in Beaver Dam.  She was a graduate of Cambria-Friesland High School.  Nancy was married to the love of her life, Clayton B. Worden on March 30, 1985 at Zion Lutheran Church in Cambria, where she was also baptized and confirmed.  She was employed with the Weyenberg Shoe Co. in Beaver Dam for 36 years and later with the Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly for three years in the bakery retiring in 1997.

Nancy was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.  She enjoyed gardening and crafting.  Nancy also loved to cook and bake.  She will be missed by her beloved dog, Kiki.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Kathy (Ron) Roit of Greenfield; her brother, James Wright of Cambria; her nephew, Nick Wright and his children: Kenzi and Collin of Columbus; her step-children: Richard (Debra) Worden of Beaver Dam, Patricia (Lonnie) Maddox of Florida, Gary (Cynthia) Worden of Fox Lake, and John (Hollie) Worden of Waukesha; five step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; a special aunt, Margaret Cleland of Beaver Dam; and further survived by other relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clayton in 2009, her brother, John Wright, grandparents, aunts and uncles.  

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.  The Rev. Collin Vanderhoof will officiate.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and also on Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.  Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.  

Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church library, fellowship committee, or debt fund.

In celebrating Nancy’s life, please wear purple or butterflies.
