Charlotte M. Messer, 101, a resident of Marvin’s Manor in Waupun, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2016.
Funeral services for Charlotte will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Charlotte Mildred was born on February 28, 1915, the daughter of Gustav and Ida (Prellwitz) Werner in the town of Burnett, Wisconsin. In 1940 she married Elmer Miller, who preceded her in death in 1969. She married Edgar Messer in 1981, and he passed away in 2010.
Charlotte was a faithful member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
She is survived by her son, Donald Miller, of Merrill, WI and her daughter, Marilyn Voltz, of Irma, WI; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two stepsons: Robert (Patricia) Messer of Beaver Dam and Lynn (Merita) Messer of Sheboygan Falls; step son-in-law, Charles Schimming of Fox Lake and step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, her husband Edgar, daughter Carol in infancy, brothers: Oscar, Martin, John and Richard and her sisters: Laura Messer and Margaret Behle.
