Adeline Johanna Anderson, age 92, died on June 10, 2016 at Charleston House in Beaver Dam.

A child of the Great Depression, she was born to kind and loving parents William and Martha Nagler on April 17, 1924. Adeline was a lifelong member of St. Katharine Drexel Church, having a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Adeline lived on the south side of Beaver Dam her entire life, mainly on East South Street. She had many memories of growing up in Beaver Dam; St.  Peter’s Grade School, World War II, Swan City Park, the kindness of Father Rohner to the poor during the Depression, and Healy Avenue Home Dairy (Mom loved ice cream).

Adeline married Roland Anderson on September 11, 1948. Roland and Adeline were wonderful parents. She helped her Mom, Martha, who had lost a hand in a canning factory accident. Adeline was a retiree from Weyenberg Shoe Factory. In retirement, Roland and Adeline made and sold wood lawn ornaments.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Linda (Ken) Beal; granddaughters Ann Strelow and Mary (Bert) Trzebiatowski; and great-grandchildren Bryon and Andruw Strelow and Bartholomew, Carter and Claire Adeline Trzebiatowski. Dad and Mom, we love you-always have, always will.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland, sister Rosemary Klokow, and brother Bill Nagler.

Thank you to Fr. Mike Erwin and the parishioners of SKD who brought Communion and provided religious services.  In keeping with Adeline’s wishes, a private family service was held.

If desired, memorials may be made in Adeline J. Anderson’s name to St. Katharine Drexel Parish or to St. Vincent De Paul Society.

The Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
