The Runway 5K Run/Walk is back at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016 on Saturday, July 30, giving participants a one of a kind fitness experience. The 12th annual race begins at 7 a.m. and is open to everyone, including walkers, first-time runners and seasoned athletes.

Over the 3.1 mile route, attendees will see what becomes the world’s busiest airport up close and personal. This year a new route will take participants through the AirVenture grounds, past incredible aircraft and aviation exhibits of all sizes.

Runners and walkers do not need an AirVenture pass to participate in the race, but are invited to stay the entirety of the day and explore everything that AirVenture has to offer. After registration, there will be an opportunity to purchase discounted day-of admission. Shower facilities are available onsite. Registration includes an official event T-shirt and post-race food and refreshments. Register before July 1, 2016 to take advantage of early bird pricing. T-shirt size is not guaranteed for those who register after July 1, 2016.

Proceeds from this year’s run benefit EAA’s Collegiate Volunteer Program, helping students gain the volunteer and job experience they need to succeed in their careers after college.

Sponsors include 103.9 WVBO, Scene Newspaper, Oshkosh Northwestern, Oshkosh Media, and TruTrak.
