30th Anniversary – Riverfest in Watertown

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Riverfest in Watertown, this will be the biggest year yet! This year’s event will be held Thursday, August 11 through Sunday, August 14. Riverfest includes lots of entertainment and activities for all ages. Come for a fun weekend at Riverfest! Admission is free!

Activities begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday with A Taste of Watertown, carnival rides, chainsaw art, face painting and body art, and music which begins a little later in the evening. Friday activities begin at 11 a.m. and go all day into the evening with fireworks at 10 p.m. Friday activities include the Must-Skis Waterski Show and lots of musical entertainment along with all the activities included on Thursday.  New this year is “The Meltdown Challenge”. It’s an exciting 8 person inflatable attraction with two spinning booms that rotate to challenge any participant. Similar to the popular TV show game, “The Meltdown” is guaranteed to be one of your favorite attractions.

Start your day off Saturday with the craft fair starting at 8 a.m. or the half marathon and 5k run at 8:30 a.m. There’s also a tennis tournament, Carp Classic fishing tournament, raft race, bean bag tournament, horseshoe tournament, Kids Casting Contest, Must-Skis Waterski Show, “The Meltdown”, and more of a Taste of Watertown, rides and lots of live musical entertainment.

Sunday is another full day for everyone! The craft fair starts again at 8 a.m.and a classic car show at 9 a.m. Food booths open at 11 a.m. and rides and “The Meltdown” open at noon. There is more great music providing another great day at Riverfest.

Musical entertainment this year includes Jay and the Americans, Chicago Tribute Anthology, Vixen, Light up (a tribute to Styx), The Whiskey Bells, Sawyer Brown and many more great artists.
