Obituary: Dale H. Grebel

Dale H. Grebel, age 80 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at his home in Beaver Dam.

Dale was born on September 4, 1935 in the township of Trenton, the son of Emerson and Verna (Ehlert) Grebel. On June 2, 1956, he was united in marriage to Faroline Draeger at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Over the years, Dale worked for Risman’s International Harvester, farmed, owned and operated Surge, worked 20 years for Bergin’s and later retired from Grebel’s Pump Service.

Dale was a scout master and a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church. He enjoyed selling sweet corn at the annual Antique Power Show and was a member of a local snowmobile & ATV club. In his free time, Dale enjoyed gardening and traveling with his wife, especially to Texas where they spent 17 winters.

Dale is survived by his sons, Randy (Virginia) of Beaver Dam, Jim (Helen) of Mayville and John (LaDana) of Beaver Dam; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Mary) Grebel of Albany, GA, Larry (Gertrude) of Beaver Dam and David (Evelyn) of Horicon; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, wife Faroline in 2014, and two sisters, Arlene and Lorraine.

Visitation for Dale will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Mark Jensen will officiate. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton and a luncheon will be served back at Cornerstone.
