Katherine H. Wendt, 83, of Fall River and a former resident of Reeseville, died on Monday, August 15, 2016 at her home.
The visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, N2296 County Road I, in Reeseville on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. The funeral service will follow at the church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Reeseville.
The former Katherine Huber was born September 21, 1932 in Dodge County, Wisconsin, daughter of Alvin and Hazel (Krueger) Huber. She married Marvel “Slim” Wendt on November 11, 1950 in Reeseville. Katherine had been a resident of Fall River since 1971. She worked on the farm until she retired in 2010. Katherine loved growing roses and day lilies. She enjoyed her grandchildren, embroidering, and reading.
Survivors include her daughter, Marvel Carol (Russell) Meier of Harris, Iowa; four sons, Robert (Karen) Wendt of Mayville, Donald (Julie) Wendt of Beaver Dam, Dale (Patricia) Wendt of Fall River, and Danny Wendt of Rio; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a sister, Dorothy Schultz of Oshkosh, and two brothers, Robert of DeKalb, Ill. Kenneth of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister, Betty Franke, four brothers, Donald, Bernard, Eugene and David; one grandson, Brian; and one great grandson, Husan.
