Obituary: Robert “Bob” Coda

Robert “Bob” Coda, age 73 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at home. 

Bob was born on February 23, 1943 in Princeton, the son of Sylvester and Celia (Bednarek) Coda. He graduated from Princeton High School and UW-Platteville. On May 17, 1969, he was united in marriage to Judith Polcyn at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Bob worked at F.S. in South Beaver Dam, prior to working as a sales representative at Mid-State Power & Equipment in Columbus. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. 

Bob was passionate about cars and especially enjoyed drag racing, muscle cars and NASCAR. He was also an avid Brewer, Packer and Badger fan. Bob liked maintaining his yard, watching the birds out the back window and hunting. He was active with FFA and Agri-Business Farm Progress Days, was a tractor safety instructor and enjoyed spending time at the family farm in Princeton on the weekends.

Bob is survived by his children, Jodi (Brian) Goodman of Horicon, Steve (Brenda Eckmayer) Coda of Beaver Dam and Brian (Jessica) Coda of Verona; grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley Petersen) Coda of Waupun, Arik Koch of Green Bay, Hannah Coda of Beaver Dam and Celia Coda of Verona; sister, Anne (Chuck) Zamzow of Oshkosh; brother, John Coda of Princeton and further survived by other relatives and friends. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on April 12, 2016 and other relatives. 

Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with Deacon Ed Cody officiating.
