Obituary: Gabriel M. (Lacaeyse) Kohl

Gabriel M. (Lacaeyse) Kohl, a resident of Golden Living Center Assisted Living in Randolph, WI went to eternal life on Monday August 22, 2016 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 29 from 9:30 to 10:50 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Reeseville. Burial will follow services at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Columbus, WI.

Gabriel was born on February 26, 1929 in Reeseville, WI, the youngest of four, to Belgian immigrants Emilie (Roegiers) and Edmund Lacaeyse. She married Gordon R. Kohl on September 17, 1949. She was a long member of Holy Family Catholic Church and served on the Altar Society in Reeseville, WI. Gabriel was a cook at the Lowell Grade school for 19 years.

Left to cherish her memory are Gordon G. (Pat Frinak) of Randolph WI, Dennis (Mary) of Waterloo WI and Paul of Watertown WI. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Marjorie Adamzak, a brother-in-law Delmar Kohl and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon in 2008, parents, her siblings and their spouses, Cyril (Helen), Margaret (Harold) Gernetzke, Helen (Lawrence) Bickel, sister-in-law, Shirley Kohl, brother-in-law Robert Adamzak, nieces and nephews Elaine Griffin, Robert Bickel, Ruth Ann McConnell, Margie Loeck, Judith and their brother Larry Lacaeyse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church 302 Prairie Street, Reeseville WI 53579. 

The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at Continental Manor and EMS of Randolph and Columbus Community Hospital.
