Obituary: Josephine L. Kienast

Josephine L. Kienast, 94, a resident of Hillside Manor passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Hillside Manor.

A funeral service for Josephine will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating.  A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Township of Trenton.

Josephine was born the daughter of John W. and Linda (Will) Lonsdale on September 20, 1921 in Fort Atkinson.  On April 3, 1976, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Kienast in Fort Atkinson.

She had been employed at Jamesway and then later at W. D. Hoard & Sons in Fort Atkinson for many years.  She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by her step children: Duane (Helen) Kienast of Burnett and Dianne Staude of Watertown; five step grandchildren: Angela (John) Krzyzaniak of New Berlin, Justin (Tara) Kienast of Beaver Dam, Rebecca (Daniel) Strieff of Burnett, Mattea (Dennis) Betschler of Watertown and Marianne (Cesar) Camargo of Texas; eleven step great grandchildren; and her sister Phyllis Werner of Sunset, Louisiana.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilbert in 2016, step son-in-law Daryl Staude, her brother John (Loretta) and sisters: Dorothy (Alvin) Zade, Amy (Harvey) Stuelke and Helen (Erwin “Bud”) Zebell.
