Obituary: Marian Lauersdorf

Marian Lauersdorf, age 92, of Lowell, died on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Charleston House in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Salem Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. The funeral service will follow at church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Vander Galien officiating. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery.

The former Marian Wilson was born on December 3, 1923 near Juneau, Wisconsin to Guy and Alma (Kaiser) Wilson. On May 19, 1945, she was united in marriage with Charles R. Lauersdorf at the United Methodist Church in Lowell. Marian and Charles lived on a farm all their married life in Lowell where they raised their two sons. She enjoyed the farm life, gardening, sewing, and being with family and friends. Marian also worked at Racine Glove Company in Reeseville. She served on the Lowell Village Election Board and was a long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Salem Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild.

Survivors are her son Douglas (Patricia A.) Lauersdorf of Burnett; former daughter-in-law, Patricia M. Lauersdorf of Lowell; grandchildren, Ronald Jr. (Kim) Lauersdorf of Lowell and Rachel (John) Snyder of Little Falls, MN, Kristine Lauersdorf and Michael Lauersdorf of Lowell, Aimee (Scott) Smith of Burnett, and Alyssa Lauersdorf of Burnett; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alton and Marjorie Lauersdorf of Lowell and Violet Wilson of Reeseville; great granddaughters, great great grandsons, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Ronald Sr.; and brother, Bruce Wilson.

Memorials may be made in Marian Lauersdorf’s name to Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell.
