Rose Mary Zimmer, age 82, died Thursday, October 20, 2016, at her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
There will be a memorial gathering at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Michael Erwin officiating. Inurnment will be at Pardeeville Cemetery.
Rose Mary was born on June 15, 1934 in Pardeeville, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Grace (O’Keefe) Wendlick. She was a country girl who grew up on the family farm, where she acquired her life-long virtue of hard work and her love of horses. She spent her early adulthood in the Milwaukee area, and eventually returned to her roots and her love of farming, spending those ensuing years on farms which her family owned in North Prairie and Beaver Dam. She later moved to the City of Beaver Dam, where she continued to raise her family, and where she worked at various businesses and industries.
Rose Mary enjoyed her golden years at her lakeside home, pursuing her hobbies of gardening, baking, and bird-watching. Her annual road trips “out west” with her late husband Ralph were fun adventures for the couple. Rose Mary was a caring mother and grandmother who treasured her family. She also appreciated the company of her good neighbors Karen and her dog, Lucy (woof!).
Rose Mary is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Gregory (Patricia) Bolter and David (Pattie) Bolter, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and two grandchildren, Karl (Julia) Bolter of Denver, Colorado, and Kelly Bolter of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph Zimmer, and her siblings, Arnie, Rolland (“Bud”), Jim and Barbara. She is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.
