Obituary: Lenore A. Rader

Lenore A. Rader, 101, a resident of Clearview Nursing Home and formerly of Horicon passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon with the Rev. Michael Petrie officiating.  A memorial gathering will be held prior to the mass from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. also at the church.  Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Lenore was born the daughter of Edward and Ada (Santamour) Farrell on October 26, 1915 in Porterfield, Wisconsin.  On July 1, 1939, she was united in marriage to John Rader in Porterfield.

Lenore had been employed for many years as the head of food production in the Fox Point, Juneau and Horicon School Districts.  She loved to cook for job, family and friends.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon.  Lenore was a member of Rock River Hills Golf Course and enjoyed playing golf until the age of 92.  She also loved gardening and was a member of the Garden Club.

Lenore is survived by her daughter Karen (Don) Pagel of Horicon; her grandsons: Mike (Heather) Pagel of Fond du Lac and Tim (Liza) Pagel of Kenosha; great grandchildren: Kaleb, Ethan and Alexandra Pagel, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parent; her husband John; brothers: Alfred Farrell and Ervin Farrell; her sisters: Gladys La Plant, Dorothy Salomon, Marion Finley, Gloria Farrell, Lillian Burzinskey and Esther Chevalier.

Memorial donations in Lenore’s name may be made to the Wisconsin Multiple Sclerosis Society-direct to Challenge Walk-“Keep S’meylin Team” or to the Sacred Heart Parish Memorial Fund.
