Cynthia “Cindy” L. Klinger, age 58 of Beaver Dam, found peace with her Savior on Friday, November 4, 2016 after a 4 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Cindy was born on September 18, 1958 with her twin sister, to Patricia A. and William R. Davis in Orange, CA. Her father was a career military man who traveled to many locations, but Beaver Dam was always home. Cindy had fond memories of living with her grandparents, Isabelle and Joseph Planasch, along with her mom and sisters in Beaver Dam whenever her dad received a call to duty and had to travel overseas. She always enjoyed making new friends in the many states they lived in when her dad received a new assignment. In her later years, she loved to travel within the states and various foreign countries, including Italy in 2015, which she loved. Over the years, Cindy was employed at various local businesses. For 15 years, she was the owner of Gabby’s Restaurant in the Beaver Dam Mall. Cindy’s specialty was her taco salad, which was enjoyed by many local and traveled customers. After Gabby’s, she was employed at Panera Bread and John Deere in Horicon. Cindy was a lifetime member of VFW #4287 Auxiliary – Orlando, FL.

Those Cindy left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Leon; children, Cali Jo Czarneski, Zachery Czarneski and Ian Czarneski; step-children, Jody (Mark) Pinkerton, Mellisa (Jon) Payne Klinger and David (Linda) Klinger; seven grandchildren, Lucas, Logan, Isaac, Rylee, Calvin, Eleanor and Jackson; three sisters, her twin Tammy (Steve Bonde) Davis and her son, Nathan; Brenda (Dennis) Steinkraus and their children, Lexi and Drew; and Michelle (Paul) Merrill; the father of her children, Jan Czarneski, as well as many friends and relatives.

Preceding her in death was her father, William in 1978; her mother, Patricia in 2014; her grandparents, Isabelle and Joseph Planasch, Robert and Louise Davis; many aunts and other relatives.

A gathering to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. A graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Beaver Dam on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

If desired, memorials in Cindy’s name may be directed to the Badger Honor Flight, PO Box 152, Beaver Dam, WI 53916 in memory of her father who lies in Arlington National Cemetery.

Special thanks from the family is extended to Laura Raftery, MD Oncology, ProHealth Care staff and nurses at Oconomowoc Cancer Center, and Hillside Hospice staff and nurses, especially Denise and Patty.

Cindy fought hard during her battle and never gave up hope. She always remained optimistic and hopeful that she would beat her disease and remained fearless to the end. She had so much to live for and we will all miss her so very much.
