Chamber Starts Month Long Shop Local Campaign

The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce has announced its participation in the seventh annual Small Business Saturday on November 26th to support small businesses in Beaver Dam with its Ring in the Holiday Passport promotion.  SBS will be the kick off for a month long promotion to shop small and to shop local that will end on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th.

On November 26th from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, local shoppers are encouraged pick up their free Passport book and a free cup of craft roasted coffee from Black Waters Coffee at the corner of Mill and Center Streets, downtown.  To enter the contest shoppers must get their Passport books stamped at participating organizations through Christmas Eve and then must drop off their entries at the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce, 127 S. Spring Street, Beaver Dam.

After the kickoff event at Black Waters Coffee, Passport books will be available at the Beaver Dam Chamber and will be distributed at the Holiday Parade in downtown Beaver Dam on Saturday, December 3, 2016. 

American Express created Small Business Saturday and the Neighborhood Champion program to help rally communities to support small business. Participating organizations include the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA), the International Downtown Association, The Latino Coalition, the National Main Street Center, the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Small business owners can learn more about taking part in Small Business Saturday and download free marketing materials on www.shopsmall.com. Consumers can also visit the site to find small businesses to shop at on Small Business Saturday.
