Obituary: Loretta A. Budde

Loretta A. Budde, age 78, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the prayer service at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating and burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

The former Loretta Ann Manke was born on November 9, 1938 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Lester and Mary (Doyle) Manke. She was a 1955 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Milwaukee and in 1957, she graduated from Sacred Heart Nursing School in Milwaukee. On June 1, 1957, Loretta was united in marriage with Al Budde at St. Charles Church in Hartland, Wisconsin. Loretta worked at the Lutheran Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and the Beaver Dam Hospital, as well as Lakeview Nursing Home and Hillside Manor. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. Loretta enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, and cooking; her butter horns will be missed by all.

Survivors are her husband, Al Budde of Beaver Dam; children, Joseph Budde of Green Bay, Mathew (Janet) Budde of Beaver Dam, Virginia “Gini” (Steve) Hankes of Beaver Dam, Roger (Jane) Budde of Beaver Dam, and Donald (Kristy) Budde of Sun Prairie; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Marx of Nevada, Helen Lisowski of Florida, and Carol (Jim) Harris of Oconomowoc; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger Verkenis of Milwaukee, Caroline Patterson of Florida, Mary Budde of Beaver Dam, Carl (Joyce) Budde of Waukesha, and Edward Emmer of Lomira; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Ruth Brown, Mary Ellen Manke, Bernice Verkenis, Margaret Edwards, James Manke, Jackie Manke, Edward Manke, and Louise Logar; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Viola Manke, Richard Marx, Kenneth Brown, Bill Logar, Wallace Lisowski, Frances Emmer, and Charles Patterson.
