Obituary: Rev. Wayne A. Hull

Rev. Wayne A. Hull, 65, of Waupun passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his home.

Wayne was born the son of William and Anna (DeVries) Hull on March 19, 1951 in Beaver Dam.  

Throughout his life, Wayne touched lives through the word of God.  He was a full time teacher and pastor from age 56 – 65 years.  He co-anchored “Good Thinking” a teaching aid for teachers and was proud to be a speaker for the Waupun Relay for Life.  

Wayne enjoyed sports.  He coached wrestling, track, football, baseball, and cross country for various clubs in Waupun and other Wisconsin schools.  He enjoyed sky diving, zip lining and traveling.  Above all, Wayne’s most precious memories were the times he spent fishing with his son, daughter and grandchildren.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his son Travis (Desarae) Hull and their children: Easton, Emmett, Bennett and Brixton, his daughter Shaina Hull (fiancé Jake Damm) and her daughter Dahlia and her step son Carter Damm; his brother Tom Hull of Gailsville, WI and sisters: Ardyce (Barry) Tempas of Waupun and Pat Tempas of Oshkosh; sister-in-law Sharon Hull and Wayne’s special friend Patsy Griffin of Waupun. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother William.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Waupun United Methodist Church, 199 E. Jefferson St., Waupun, WI with the Rev. Paul Yoder officiating. A luncheon and time for fellowship will follow the memorial service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Fall River Cemetery in Fall River.
