Obituary: William R. Tesch

William R. Tesch, age 77, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at William S. Middleton Veteran’s Hospital in Madison.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating. Military honors will be provided by the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146.

William Raymond Tesch was born on February 26, 1939 to Emil and Ruth (Westover) Tesch. After graduating from high school, Bill proudly joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged after four years. He was united in marriage with Tempora Distrito on December 1, 1984 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. They loved traveling the world together. Bill received an accounting degree and worked for Kirsch Foundry, retiring in the late 1990’s. He was also an alderman of the 7th ward for the city of Beaver Dam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most importantly, time with his family.

Survivors are his wife, Tempora of Beaver Dam; daughter, Mary Jean and her son, Jeffrey John Phoumyvong; brothers, Larry (Elizabeth) Tesch of AZ, Douglas (Sheila) Tesch of Beaver Dam, and Roger (Judy) Tesch of NC; his stepchildren, the Fua families; sister-in-law, Ann Westover of Beaver Dam; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Westover.
