Obituary: Mark “Mork” T. Klein

Mark “Mork” T. Klein, age 57 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Mark was born on March 7, 1959 in Milwaukee, the son of Simon “Si” and Kathleen (Budich) Klein. He was united in marriage to Dawn LaReau. Mark worked at Fleet Farm, and over the years he also worked for several area automotive related businesses and bartended at Maple Lanes, Tower Lanes, Stooge’s and Winner’s Circle. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing fantasy football, grilling out and feeding the birds and squirrels. He was very passionate about weather and meteorology and also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and NASCAR. Mark’s great sense of humor, knack for telling wonderful stories and his upbeat, positive personality will forever be cherished and never forgotten.

Mark is survived by his wife, Dawn of Beaver Dam; his step-son, Nick Wolfgang (Cherie Rohde) of McFarland; his siblings, Kim (Mike) Weber of Reeseville and Gary (Pat) Klein of Juneau; his brother and sisters-in-law, Mark LaReau of Beaver Dam, Lisa LaReau of Beaver Dam and Rene LaReau of North Carolina; his step-mother, Doris Klein of Oshkosh; his uncles, Frank (Dorothy) Klein of Elkhorn and Neal (Diane) Klein of Reeseville; his cat, Highlander; and further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Diana LaReau Schwantes; step-father-in-law, Daryl Schwantes and other relatives.

A Memorial Gathering for Mark will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam.
